Montignac, home of the World Famous Lascaux Caves, on the beautiful Vezere River, ideal for canoeing, walking, mountain-biking, horse-riding or just relaxing. Listen to the wildlife, watch the circling hawks and see wild flowers long forgotten in Britain. The small town has two supermarkets , superb restaurants and many specialized shops.
An open market on both a Saturday and Wednesday, a must to visit.

Sarlat a beautiful bustling vibrant, Medieval  town. It has one of the largest Saturday markets in France, a smaller more local one is held on Wednesday. Beautiful stone buildings which look different each time you visit, never boring. Shops filled with regional goodies and wonderful wines. Tasting is a must.

Perigueux, a bustling old town with diverse Restaurants, see the musicians in the street during the evening. A wonderful selection of all shops on the outskirts of the town.

Visit the beautiful triangle of Beynac, La Roque Gageac and Domme a superb day out, with trips on the flat bottomed river boats on the Dordogne river.

A change of scenery and a pleasant drive to the historic sacred city of Rocamadour hanging on the edge of its impressive cliff 150 metres high to which Saints, Princes and Kings were illustrious pilgrims. Stare in awe at its beauty!

During the Mid to High Season there are Music, Theatre and Film Festivals going on all around the area both large and small. Each village, whether it’s to celebrate the grape and walnut harvest or just because they want a fete advertise and welcome you to join them in their very happy party atmosphere. We defy you not to enjoy your time here, whatever the Season.
